How many times will you contact your love ones during the day just to hear his/her voice or find out how he/she is?

I was reminiscing back to a few of my relationships (don’t ask me how many or with who and who). It got me thinking while having lunch today when one of my colleagues has a call from her husband asking her how is she. She is not my daily lunch buddies as she is at the Legal department side but as IT dept bumped into Legal Dept, all of us went for lunch together. Lolx, you just couldn’t imagine the jargons we used when both IT and Legal get together. Simply amazing! Yeah Kruel??

Anyway, I was surprised how after marriage she still gets calls from her hubby asking her how is she during the day and whether has she taken her lunch yet. Now that is sweet. Well, I am thinking if one who has been with each other for many years and still practice such caring and small gestures, I think both of them are really meant for each other (and they are not newlyweds). You seldom see married couples who ask each other about themselves. It’s more like all about their kids (if there is kid) or if anything urgent.

That got me thinking back to my past relationships. I have a few good ones where my bf will call me before I reach office, during lunch hours just to chat and check how am I or am I having lunch yet (however it could be frustrating if you are not in the mood after a bad morning! Lolx) and while driving back home or before bed. It is not a must nor I demand it but it was a practice by them, themselves. It is sweet and touching nonetheless. Just a simple gesture that I simply appreciates. That reminds me of one particular ex I have who loves to do the calling part during the days just to hear my voice, and I believe he will do that until death do us apart. He is such a sweet nature person. Anyway, we didn’t work out back then, so that’s history.

I am wondering how many times will you contact your love ones (whether you’re married or not) during the days just to hear his/her voice or find out how he/she is?
